Legacy Mines is led by an experienced team with deep expertise across mining, engineering, operations and resource development. Chairman Jerry Huang brings entrepreneurial vision, strategic leadership and a long-term approach focused on responsible growth, operational discipline and sustainable value creation.

CEO Chaoliang Yi, a master engineer in automation with more than 20 years of global experience, has delivered major projects for BHP, Rio Tinto, FMG, Santos and Glencore, driving operational performance through automation, systems integration and AI-enabled technologies. COO Dr. Shu Chen (PhD Chem Eng, MBA) contributes more than two decades of Australian mining experience across operations, project delivery, metallurgical performance and process optimisation. Chief Geologist Ian Hodkinson brings over 40 years of experience in exploration and resource development, including extensive work across gold, copper and base metal systems in Australia.

Together, the leadership team is focused on advancing the Chillagoe Gold-Copper Project toward near-term production, supported by existing mining leases, environmental approvals, established infrastructure and the company’s 600ktpa Mungana Processing Plant. Their combined expertise underpins Legacy Mines’ commitment to engineering smarter, safer and more sustainable mining operations while unlocking long-term value across the broader Chillagoe district.
